I mean to carry on in the tradition of Walt Whitman. Whitman says, "I sing the body electric" and "I sing the body from top to toe." He writes about his goal of celebrating the modern man as he calls it, and he sings the American self. One of his most popular works is the poetry collection entitled “Leaves of Grass,” which is a summary of his outlook on life and humanity. Although the book was highly controversial during its time (for its sensual nature), it still became one of the most praised literary works for its emphasis on the value of human life. It’s whole-hearted AND laugh out loud funny, wholesome enough while also incorporating judicious use of the word ‘f**k’. Ted Lasso is about a hot and thoughtful man, who has the face, moustache and wardrobe of a handsome Ned Flanders but the wisdom, heart and quotability of Brené Brown. The initial premise seems a bit average: Ted Lasso is an American comedy (meh) with a male lead (double meh) about sport (triple meh) but manages to transcend all of these things.

Entrained Thinking Blinded to new ways of thinking by perspectives acquired through past experience Oh while I live, to be the ruler of life, not a slave, to meet life as a powerful conqueror, and nothing exterior to me will ever take command of me.” Rupert might have moved up three levels and asked: How good of a dart player are you, Ted? Ted’s answer about his consistency of play—as a novice, expert or somewhere in between—may offer Rupert even more powerful information. But Whitman did not write this line. While some claim that this line can be found in Whitman's "Leaves of Grass" anthology, we searched digital copies of this work and found no trace of it. We also could not find this line in the Walt Whitman Archives. The Language of Conversation and Speech Wikipedia descriptions of words describing conversation and speech

Spirituality A deep appreciation, respect, and love for the universe, the world, all life, and humanity I like your interest in sports ball, chiefest of all base-ball particularly: base-ball is our game: the American game: I connect it with our national character. Sports take people out of doors, get them filled with oxygen generate some of the brutal customs (so-called brutal customs) which, after all, tend to habituate people to a necessary physical stoicism. We are some ways a dyspeptic, nervous set: anything which will repair such losses may be regarded as a blessing to the race. We want to go out and howl, swear, run, jump, wrestle, even fight, if only by so doing we may improve the guts of the people: the guts, vile as guts are, divine as guts are!

This has become attributed to both Walt Whitman and Helen Keller, but has not been found in either of their published works, and variations of the quote are listed as a proverb commonly used in both the US and Canada in A Dictionary of American Proverbs (1992), edited by Wolfgang Mieder, Kelsie B. Harder and Stewart A. Kingsbury. Curiosity genuinely doesn’t know, it wants to find out more, whilst judgement already knows enough. Blog Posts About the Gurteen Knowledge Café A selection of Knowledge Café blog posts, articles and papersEd Folsom, a professor of English at the University of Iowa, and the co-director of the Walt Whitman Archive, told us that "Whitman never said or wrote "Be curious, not judgmental." I have just this moment heard from the front — there is nothing yet of a movement, but each side is continually on the alert, expecting something to happen.

Ted’s entire life, people have underestimated him because he wasn’t traditionally masculine and the Walt Whitman quote, “Be curious, not judgemental” changed his way of thinking. Summarize Conflicting Perspectives ** Use the chatbot to summarize two conflicting perspectives on a complex issue According to Wikiquote, “Be curious, not judgmental” is not a Whitman quote; who actually said the phrase is unclear. And whether Wikiquote is accurate or not is also unclear. However, Ted Lasso clarifies something every writer needs to understand: attribution matters. Avoiding Modern-day Colonialism Colonialism: the dominance, control, and exploitation by one group over another I think things come into our lives to help us get from one place to a better one.” — Ted Lasso, Season 2 Episode 1: “Goodbye Earl”

Most Subdued Moment of Panic

Happiness is anywhere, everywhere. It can be in the work that you do, in the people that you have, or simply in the environment where you live. But most important, it is inside your heart – where freedom and compassion collide. Walt Whitman Quotes on Happiness During a scene in the Apple TV show "Ted Lasso," the title character, played by Jason Sudeikis, reflects on a quote supposedly written by 19th century American poet Walt Whitman that he once saw painted on a wall. "Be curious, not judgmental." While that simple statement provided some guidance to the character, it also left him a little misinformed, as Whitman never wrote these words. Sometimes, we fear that we are not enough and that we are too weak to overcome adversity. But Walt Whitman begs to disagree – you are strong, and you can be glorious if you choose to. Not judgemental. Not “I know what this means”, not imagining the worst, not coming to hasty conclusions. The same way awe feels like, I guess. And wonder. And fascination. And having a question that you don’t have an answer to (sometimes).

Most of the books published during the five-year period leading up to, during, and after the invasion of Mexico were war-mongering tracts. Euro-American settlers were nearly all literate, and this was the period of the foundational "American literature," with writers James Fenimore Cooper, Walt Whitman, Edgar Allan Poe, John Greenleaf Whittier, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, James Russell Lowell, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Henry David Thoreau, Nathaniel Hawthorne, and Herman Melville all active-each of whom remains read, revered, and studied in the twenty-first century, as national and nationalist writers, not as colonialists. Although some of the writers, like Melville and Longfellow, paid little attention to the war, most of the others either fiercely supported it or opposed it. Whitman, a supporter, was also enamored of the violent Indian- and Mexican-killing Texas Rangers. Whitman saw the war as bolstering US self-respect and believed that a "true American" would be unable to resist "this pride in our victorious armies." Live and love the life you have. Find your purpose and become happier. You are destined to succeed. When we face difficulties or encounter adversities, we feel like we’ve lost ourselves that’s why we find it hard to get up again. Thus, we say that we need to find ourselves – soul searching, as what others would like to call it.
